Richard Buttery NRF Glioblastoma Research Vacation Scholarship - Running for Richard
Story
Dear friends and family.
This year my fundraising for the NRF has taken a slight turn in another research direction.
I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know the NRF have been busy setting up a much needed new scholarship. This is a summer vacation scholarship, it has been set up to entice quality undergraduate medical or biochemical science students to give brain tumour research a try with the ultimate aim of securing them in this field of work. Funds raised will go towards enabling this scholarship to flourish for many years to come and hopefully building an Adelaide based army of researchers of which Richard would be proud to have his name associated with. Richard was a strong believer in research and research trials so on his behalf I'd like to congratulate undergraduate student Erica McGiffert who is the inaugural recipient of
The Richard Buttery NRF Glioblastoma Research Vacation Scholarship.
So far Richards family and friends have raised over $16,000 for the NRF in his memory.
